Yesterday, in the premise and under the auspices of the Writers’ Union in Nasiriyah, the Governor of Dhi Qar, HE Dr Yahya Al-Nasri, the Authorities of the Provincial Council and of the SBAH organized a ceremony in order to celebrate the two prizes, which the Italian-Iraqi Archaeological Mission at Abu Tbeirah won in the Italian Heritage Award. Franco D’Agostino, Director, and Licia Romano, the Vice-Director, in the name of the entire team, received the personal acknowledgments of HE the Governor, who gave to all the members of the mission a certificate of His esteem and appreciation.
The many and sincere speeches of gratitude for our archaeological work in Dhi Qar were really very moving for us and the ceremony will be impressed in our memory forever! We dedicate this award to all the friends we have in this wonderful country! Thank you very much for your warm and heartfelt friendship!
Ieri, nella sede e sotto gli auspici dell’Unione Scrittori di Nassiriya, il Governatore del Dhi Qar, SE Dott. Yahya Al-Nasri, le Autorità del Consiglio provinciale e dello SBAH hanno voluto organizzare una cerimonia per celebrare i due premi che la Missione Archeologica Italo-irachena ad Abu Tbeirah ha vinto nell’Italian Heritage Award. I molti e sinceri discorsi di gratitudine per il nostro lavoro archeologico in Dhi Qar sono stati davvero molto toccanti per noi e la cerimonia resterà nella nostra memoria per sempre! Dedichiamo questo premio a tutti gli amici che abbiamo in questo paese meraviglioso!
